Our Impact

The significant growth in table grape cultivation has transformed the coastal regions of Hermosillo, Pesqueira, Guaymas, and Carbó into some of the most important areas for job creation and foreign exchange in the state of Sonora. Today, table grapes are one of the most dynamic and prosperous agricultural sectors in the region.

AALPUM represents 98% of the registered growers in Hermosillo, contributing to 80% of Mexico’s total table grape production. Sonora, including Hermosillo, Caborca, and Guaymas, accounts for 95% of the country’s output, thanks to strong coordination and leadership, in collaboration with the Local Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers of Caborca.

Currently, Sonora produces nearly 25 million boxes (8.2 kg each), the majority of which are exported to the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, and Asia, while also supplying the national market. We continue to strengthen the position of Mexican Spring Grapes, widely recognized in these markets under the Mexico Table Grapes brand.
